Jacqueline Laurita Rejoins 'RHONJ' After Being Fired Ahead Of Season Six
According to a new tweet, Laurita could be following in the footsteps of her longtime friend and former co-star, Caroline Manzo, and starring in a new spinoff series.
"Maybe I have been offered a show, but I must say... I DO enjoy being the comical sidekick though," Laurita teased on Tuesday, according to an oct. 9 report by Reality Tea, adding that filming The Real Housewives of New Jersey is "easy, fun, lighthearted."
Why Did Jacqueline Laurita Return To 'RHONJ?'
Following the fifth season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Laurita was let go. Also after season five, Caroline Manzo landed her own Bravo spinoff, Manzo'd With Children, and Kathy Wakile was demoted to a "friend of the Housewives."
Weeks into season six, Bravo decided to bring Laurita back, hoping she would serve as a reboot for the show's dwindling ratings. As it turned out, Laurita did help with the ratings -- the show saw a boost the night she returned.
Also on Tuesday, Laurita revealed whether or not she had attended Sunday's filming of the season six reunion show.
"No," she confirmed. "I was a keynote speaker at an Autism conference in CA.It was more important."
Filming on The Real Housewives of New Jersey reunion took place over the weekend after being postponed several times because of Teresa Giudice's sentencing being moved.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey airs on Sunday nights at 8 p.m. on Bravo.
