Jennifer Lawrence has spoken out for the first time since her nude photo scandal.

Celebrity Nude Photo Hacker Reportedly Asking For Bitcoins In Exchange For Pictures

Lawrence, who was one of an estimated 100 female celebrities whose phone was hacked, recently spoke to Vanity Fair. In the interview, the 24-year-old actress slammed her hackers, calling the incident a "violation" of her privacy.

"It is a sexual violation. It's disgusting. The law needs to be changed, and we need to change," Lawrence told the magazine, according to an Oct. 7 report by MSN. "That's why these websites are responsible. Just the fact that somebody can be sexually exploited and violated, and the first thought that crosses somebody's mind is to make a profit from it. It's so beyond me. I just can't imagine being that detached from humanity. I can't imagine being that thoughtless and careless and so empty inside."

The Hunger Games star said she took the leaked pictures during a four-year, long-distance relationship with a former boyfriend. Her rationale was she would rather have him looking at photos of her than searching for pornography. She also said she tried writing an apology, but didn't "have anything to say I'm sorry for."

Lawrence further explained her difficulties dealing with the scandal's aftermath, revealing she called her father to explain what had happened after news broke.

"Just because I'm a public figure, just because I'm an actress, does not mean that I asked for this," she said.
