Teresa Giudice's Judge Speaks Out: "I Need To Send A Message"
Days after she and husband Joe received their sentencing for fraud, the mother of four is reportedly unhappy after discovering the network would use footage from her day at court during the sixth season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey.
“Early last week, all of the cast members were told they would need to film on Friday, the day after Teresa prison’s sentence was handed down,” an insider told Radar Online on Oct. 6. “Teresa’s advisers believe that Bravo is exploiting her legal problems to boost the ratings.”
Teresa Giudice Discusses "Unexpected" Prison Sentence On 'WWHL'
Last Thursday, Teresa and Joe were in court, where Teresa received a 15-month prison term and Joe received 41 months. Because the couple has four young children, the judge on the case is allowing Teresa to serve her sentence first, with Joe at home with the girls, and when her sentence is complete, Joe will be forced to begin his term.
During Friday's filming, all cast members, aside from Teresa's sister-in-law, Melissa Gorga, were filmed. According to Radar's source, Amber Marchese was "emotional" when talking about Teresa and Joe's sentence, while Jacqueline Laurita expressed concern about Teresa's kids.
Although the cast members reportedly felt sorry for the Giudice's situation, Teresa was still unhappy to hear they had commented at all.
"She was made aware that all of her castmates were filming on Friday while she was being grilled by Andy Cohen for Watch Watch Happens Live,” the source said. “She has nothing to say to her co-stars. She loathes Bravo and everything they have done to use her.”
The Real Housewives of New Jersey airs on Sundays at 8 p.m. on Bravo.
