On Teen Mom 2, fans have watched Calvert and Simms argue over child support and the parenting of their children, but when it comes to the footage shown, Calvert claims MTV has been selective, only airing certain scenes and leaving out key details. On Facebook, Calvert revealed what's really going on.
"As for the child support issue, He was ordered, by the State of WV, the $1200 a month in child support," Calvert explained to fans, according to a Sept. 15 report by Wetpaint Entertainment. "I wanted to work with him and was willing to accept $800 a month."

Unfortunately, according to Calvert, six months went by and Simms wasn't paying his half of Ali's medical bills, which are quite costly because of her muscular dystrophy. Since the bills were in Calvert's name, she began getting collection letters and confronted Simms about the issue. At that point, she agreed to lower Simms' child support payments to $200 a month so they could pay off the medical bills. The agreement lasted for one year, but Simms reportedly failed to pay his amount.
Eventually, Calvert and Simms went back to court to "get the bills paid and out of collections."
Calvert had also grown concerned about her credit, which was taking a hit because of the unpaid medical bills.
As for Simms' side of things, he has yet to speak out. However, fans will soon see everything for themselves on new episodes of Teen Mom 2.
"The truth will reveal itself in time!!" she promised. "Remember what you see on TV is only 1/3 of what is actually going on!!"
