Apollo Nida Enters Prison, Phaedra Parks Under "Tremendous Strain"
For months, reports have claimed Parks and her husband were on the verge of a split, and now, just one day after Nida entered prison for an eight-year term, a new report is claiming the Real Housewives of Atlanta star is ready to start her life as a single woman.
“Phaedra has been patiently waiting for Apollo to begin serving his prison sentence, and will have him served with divorce papers at the correctional facility in Kentucky,” a source told Radar Online on Sept. 11. “There was no way Phaedra was going to put her life on hold for the next decade, awaiting Apollo to be released."
Will Apollo Nida Appear On 'RHOA' With Phaedra Parks?
Nida was scheduled to turn himself into prison on Sept. 10, but things didn't go as planned. Instead of entering into his sentence as expected, Nida showed up to Parks' home, where he reportedly stormed in, acting like a "lunatic." The incident was said to have "terrified" Parks, who was "frightened" and "shaken up."
"The marriage was a huge mistake, but did give her their beloved kids," the source continued. "There were serious trust issues with Apollo, and Phaedra suspects he has been unfaithful, and has been burning through money. Phaedra has always been the breadwinner, and she began to resent it.”
In just two months, Parks and Nida will be seen, likely for the last time, on the seventh season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. According to the report, Nida's impromptu visit to Parks' home will be seen on the upcoming season.
