Carrie Underwood Pregnancy: Singer Announces Baby on Instagram "In Honor of 'Labor' Day"
Carrie Underwood announced her pregnancy yesterday, Sept. 1, in the most adorable way.
On Monday, the singer shared a photograph of herself and her two dogs, who were both wearing "I'm going to be a big sister" and "big brother" outfits.
Along with the Instagram photo, Underwood told fans, "In honor of 'Labor' Day, Ace & Penny would like to make an announcement. Their parents couldn't be happier..."
This will be the first baby for Underwood and NHL husband Mike Fisher.
He made his own announcement as well, taking to Twitter, saying, "We haven't picked names yet but it's look like Fly is gonna fly. #boyorgirl #flyfisher."
Hmmmm, looks like Fisher may be crossing his fingers for a boy.
A source confirmed the pregnancy to Us Weekly on Sept. 1, telling the mag, "They couldn't be happier to be starting a family."
Underwood and Fisher started dating when they met at one of the singer's concerts in late 2008, and got engaged in Dec. 2009. The couple wed in 2010 at the Ritz-Carlton Lodge in Greensboro, Georgia, according to Headlines and Global News.
On top of the pregnancy, this is a busy year for the former American Idol alum. Since shooting to fame, Underwood has won six Grammys and sold more than 15 million albums worldwide. She is the first woman to win the Academy of Country Music's Entertainer of the Year award not once, but twice, and is set to co-host the upcoming Country Music Association Awards with Brad Paisley in November, reported Huffington Post.
Fisher is busy, as well, even while in recovery. The 34-year-old center for the Nashville Predators ruptured his left Achilles tendon last season, and is expected to miss the start of this season, also reported by Huffington Post.
Whether on the run or on the bend, congrats to the happy couple. The world is expecting beautiful babies from you two!
