Donnie Wahlberg, Jenny McCarthy 2014 Marriage: Hollywood Couple Exchanges Wedding Vows In Hotel Near Chicago [VIDEO]
It's official, there's a new Wahlburger in town!
Jenny McCarthy and Donnie Wahlberg exchanged wedding vows this weekend in a hotel near Chicago.
The ceremony was held at Hotel Baker in St. Charles, Illinois, and was attended by only close friends and family, E! News reported on Aug. 31. Mark Wahlberg was not in attendance, but he and his family sent a video wishing the newly weds well.
The nuptials lasted a short 20 minutes, according to Us Weekly. The big day marks almost a year since the two celebrities hit the red carpet as an official couple.
McCarthy, who is from Chicago, hosted a soiree Friday night to pre-celebrate Saturday's rehearsal dinner and, of course, the big day that Sunday, said E! News.
But even the bride can admit that she is not one for planning these events.
"Really, I'm so bad [at planning]," she told Us Weekly in July. "The problem is I consider myself to be kind of like a dude... Like, I just kind of want to show up and drink."
Well regardless of her self-dubbed dude-ness, McCarthy and her five bridesmaids looked "sleek" with a "bit of bling," said Jennifer Heim, a jewelry designer for Jennifer Sands.
"Everything is set in 14 karat gold and very sleek and clean and a little bit of bling," Heim told E! News.
The five bridesmaids and McCarthy were slated to wear black onyx earrings with white sapphires. They also sported Bali bangles - a set of three that contained onyx, labradorite and crystal quartz, all by Jennifer Sands, reported E! News.
This is McCarthy's second marriage. She was previously married to director Jon Asher, who fathered her 12-year-old son Evan, and had a long-term relationship with actor Jim Carrey in the late 2000s.
Wahlberg was also married before to ex-wife Kimberly Fey. They have two kids, Zavier, 21, and Elijah, 13.
Congratulations to the happy couple!
