'RHONJ' Twins Quit Show: Teresa Aprea Denies Rumors
Teresa Aprea is setting the record straight regarding her and her sister's future with The Real Housewives of New Jersey.
On Twitter, Jim Marchese, the husband of new Housewife Amber Marchese, dropped a bomb, claiming Aprea and her twin sister, Nicole Napolitano, would be leaving the Bravo reality show after just one season.
"Amber Marchese’s husband Jim, who is no stranger to Twitter, let it slip that the twins quit the Real Housewives of New Jersey over Victoria’s appearance," AllAboutTRH reported on Aug. 28.
During a recent episode, Victoria Gotti made waves when she alleged Aprea's husband, Rino, cheated on her with her and Napolitano's mother. Although both Aprea and her husband denied the claims on Twitter nearly immediately, they haven't moved on from what Gotti said and, according to Jim Marchese, have decided to leave the show.
After a fan questioned Bravo's motives behind their attempt to redeem Gotti's credibility, Marchese revealed, "The twins quit because of this."
However, according to Aprea, Marchese's claims are false.
Following the report, Aprea spoke to Rumorfix's Mr. Real Housewife on Aug. 29, denying she and her sister, Napolitano, were leaving the series.
"There is no truth to that," Aprea confirmed. "We did not quit the show.”
Aprea and Napolitano were brought aboard the Real Housewives of New Jersey for the show's currently airing sixth season. The twins filled the empty spots left by Caroline Manzo and Jacqueline Laurita, both of whom had been with the show since season one.
