Kandi Burruss Baby Plans: 'RHOA' Star Wants To Get Pregnant With Husband Todd Tucker In 2014
Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker are planning to expand their family.
Less than one year after they wed, the Real Housewives of Atlanta couple is planning for their first child together, and if all goes as planned, they may not stop at just one.
“I want to get pregnant this year!” Burruss told In Touch Weekly, via an Aug. 27 report by Radar Online. “Knock it out by 39!”
Both Burruss and Tucker are parents to one child each, Burruss to 12-year-old Riley, and Tucker to 18-year-old Kaela. And with two girls already, the newlyweds are hoping to add a boy into the mix.
“Todd would be down with [fertility treatments], too,” she dished, adding that her age, 39, may be a factor in their ultimate decision. “We’re even open to in vitro fertilization. The cool part about that is we could guarantee a boy!”
In 2011, after meeting on the set of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Burruss and Tucker, who was working as a line producer on the reality show, began dating. On Jan. 15, 2013, Burruss announced, via Twitter, that she and Tucker had become engaged. Then, on April 4, 2014, Burruss and Tucker were married (the event was captured for Bravo's Real Housewives of Atlanta spinoff special, Kandi's Wedding).
“[I] always wanted to have a son,” Burruss continued. “With girls, you’re scared somebody’s going to take advantage of them or something. I just feel like boys are easier. You don’t worry as much."
Burruss also told the magazine that both she and her husband are open to the possibility of more children if the opportunity presents itself.
