Jason Aldean Mistress: Country Star Doesn't Regret Relationship With Brittany Kerr
Jason Aldean doesn't regret his affair with Brittany Kerr.
After sharing a new photo of himself and Kerr on Instagram, Aldean received some backlash from fans. A short while later, the country star responded to his critics, explaining he has no regrets and encouraging them to move on from his highly publicised affair with the former American Idol star.
"So sick of people judging me and [Brittany Kerr] over things they know nothing about," Aldean wrote in a second Instagram post, according to an Aug. 10 report by Us Weekly. "I have made mistakes but I am a better person because of it, and wouldn't change a thing. I'm happier than I have ever been, so thank u to all the people who support us."
In 2012, a then-married Aldean engaged in an affair with Kerr. In photos of the couple at a Los Angeles bar, the pair was seen kissing one another and making no point to hide their relationship. Months later, Aldean's wife of nearly 12 years, Jessica Ussery, filed for divorce and ever since, he and Kerr have been in a relationship. In April 2014, they went public, walking the red carpet together at the CMT Music Awards.
"We are happy and life goes on," Aldean continued. "Its time to move on people. #aldeanarmy #oldnews #timetomoveon."
Shortly after Aldean and Kerr's red carpet appearance, a source spoke to Us Weekly, claiming his kids with Ussery still view the former mistress as "the other woman."
"Jason is working Brittany into Kendyl and Keeley's lives, yet they see her as the other woman," the source explained. "It's hard. They're important to him."
