Dana Wilkey Arrested: Former 'RHOBH' Star Indicted, Accused Of Fraud
Dana Wilkey has been arrested and indicted for fraud.
Years after leaving The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Wilkey appears to be following in the footsteps of fellow housewife, Teresa Giudice, who is currently awaiting sentencing in a fraud case of her own.
According to a FBI press release, via an Aug. 8 report by Radar Online, Wilkey was arrested on June 18 and indicted for “conspiracy to commit wire fraud, wire fraud and aiding and abetting, and [making] false statements to government agents."
In the documents, it was noted that Skylar Ariel Phoenix worked as the marketing manager in Blue Shield of California for over eight years and that Lissa Michele Phoenix was her domestic partner. Wilkey was president of Adwil Agency, a vendor of Blue Shield. The press release claimed that after meeting, the three women entered into a "fraudulent marketing contract," in which Wilkey paid kickbacks to the two other women.
"Between in or about February 2006 through at least February 2012, Dana Wilkey, through Adwil Agency accounts, paid directly to Lissa Phoenix, Skylar Phoenix, and Rodeo Pink, approximately 87 checks totaling approximately $360,000 in illegal and undisclosed kickbacks related to Adwil Agency’s business with Blue Shield," the press release alleged.
In addition, Lissa Phoenix reportedly created fake employee records and time cards.
All three parties appeared in court, where they posted $250,000 bond and were released. They are currently facing 20 years behind bars, a $250,000 fine or “twice the gross gain or loss” and restitutions to their victims.
Although Wilkey isn't accused of lying to the FBI, her two alleged partners are said to have lied about Wilkey's business dealings within the company.
