Holly Madison On Daughter: Reality Star Claims Motherhood Is Harder Than She Expected
Holly Madison got candid in a recent interview, revealing motherhood isn't always easy.
Speaking to In Touch Weekly, the former Girls Next Door star opened up about becoming a mother for the first time and explained why she is simply not ready to expand her family quite yet.
"'Oh my God. Motherhood is way more difficult than I thought," Madison explained to the magazine, via an Aug. 6 report by Daily Mail Online. "You really have to manage your time. Plus, all these horrible scenarios - like a baby falling off a balcony - go through my head."
After moving out of the Playboy Mansion and ending her relationship with Hugh Hefner, Madison dated a few men, including illusionist Criss Angel and All Time Low's Jack Barakat, before meeting her now-husband, Pasqualle Rotella. In 2012, Madison announced that she and Rotella were expecting their first child together, and on March 5, 2013, they welcomed Rainbow Aurora.
Madison's journey into parenthood was captured in her E! special, Holly Has A Baby, which aired on the E! channel in early 2013. The series also followed Madison and Rotella as they chose a date for their wedding.
Months later, on Sept. 10, 2013, the couple was married at Disneyland in California.
Eventually, Madison and Rotella would love to expand their family, but for now, Rainbow is keeping them busy.
"Just having [Rainbow] is enough!" she explained. "We really want to give her a sibling, but I need a little time. We'll start to think about it next year."
