Christian Louboutin Nail Polish Line: Bottles Coated With The Red Sole Style
The renowned Christian Louboutin revealed a new way for painting up your wardrobe without buying his signature red-sole shoes. Now, you can polish your nails with stylish colors formulated by the designer.
According to an E! News report, each bottle will cost $50, making it the priciest nail polish of all. Tom Ford's signature polishes are next in line at $32 apiece.
There will be thirty shades and the first color, a bold red known as Rougue, will be on shelves before the rest are showcased, giving Rougue time to glisten.
Last week, select Saks Fifth Avenue stores had Rougue ready to gloss. Other retailers will have the headlining polish on Aug. 6.
The remaining 29 shades will come out on Aug. 31 for US locations, reported Women's Wear Daily, detailing the intricacies of the launch.
"I wanted the color to be almost frozen in a pack of glass," Louboutin told Women's Wear Daily. He also revealed that future polish colors would be launched to compliment shoe lines of upcoming seasons.
The top of each vial even looks like the heel of one Louboutin's stunning black chic designs.
Louboutin gives credit to former journalist Janie Samet for the idea to make a nail polish line, reported Women's Wear Daily. "It made sense to me...a lot of signs were there," he explained.
Originally, Louboutin designed the signature red-soles by painting the bottom of his shoe design with nail polish. This touch-up happened during a moment of spontaneity when he felt the shoe lacked vivacity and the rest is fashion history.
