'RHONY' Scripted: Sonja Morgan Reportedly Faked Scenes For Bravo Series
Sonja Morgan has been accused of staging scenes for The Real Housewives of New York City season six.
On Wednesday, just one day after the latest episode of the Bravo series aired, reports surfaced, which claimed Morgan had faked a scene with Harry Dubin in an effort to boost the show's ratings.
Morgan "completely faked her 'proposal' to Harry Dubin on the show," a source told Us Weekly on July 16. "Ramona and Sonja came up with the proposal idea. When Ramona got to the party, she got the ring from Mario and gave it to Sonja, who gave it to Harry so they could stage the proposal. After they shot it, Sonja gave the ring back to Ramona. It was only for the scene."
During the Real Housewives of New York City episode, fans watched as Dubin, the ex-husband of Morgan's co-star, Aviva Drescher, "proposed" to Morgan, telling her that the ring meant "I love you" and that he wanted to take their ongoing relationship to the "next level." Dubin also told Morgan that he would eventually get her a "better ring" to replace the one he gave her during the scene.
Us Weekly's source added that Morgan and Dubin aren't in a serious relationship. For the last several months, fans have seen them go on a couple of dates and share a mutual flirtation, but when it comes to their relationship, things have reportedly been greatly exaggerated for the show.
On next week's episode, which airs on Tuesday at 9 p.m., Morgan is seen wearing a different ring.
