Corey Harrison recently loss a ton of weight.

After tipping the scale at over 400 pounds and being put on preventative diabetes medication, the Pawn Stars cast member got serious about his health, opting to undergo lap band surgery in an effort to slim down.

"I literally drove straight from the doctor to the lap band center and had the surgery almost immediately," Harrison told PEOPLE Magazine of being put on diabetes medication. "Back then, the surgery was too expensive for my bank account, so I had to pay with four credit cards, but it was something I had to do – I was not going to get diabetes!"

Once he had the procedure done in 2010, Harrison lost 50 pounds within the first six weeks and an additional 100 pounds in the year thereafter.

"I could never go back to weighing as much as I did," he said. "It made me realize what I ate, how I ate and what I did to myself. It was a WOW moment."

Now, Harrison is down to just 210 pounds -- nearly half the amount he was pre-surgery -- and leading a healthier lifestyle, which he hopes will result in his maintaining his healthier size.

When he began losing weight, Harrison embarked on a strict diet, in which he cut out processed foods, except for mustard, but these days he's a bit more lenient with himself.

"'Everything in moderation' is my motto," he explained.

Harrison currently stars in Pawnography, a game show spinoff of Pawn Stars, which airs on Thursday nights at 10 p.m. on the History Channel.
