Caprice Bourret Surrogate: 'Ladies Of London' Star Found Out She Was Pregnant After Hiring A Surrogate
Caprice Bourret is opening up about her surprise pregnancy.
After doctors informed the Ladies of London star that she wouldn't be able to carry her own child, Bourret enlisted the help of a surrogate. Then, months later, Bourret found out she was expecting.
“I didn’t believe it when I saw the pregnancy test. The doctors told me I couldn’t carry. Literally, I bought 10 more tests and for two hours I was taking all 10 tests,” the 42-year-old recalled in a July 9 interview with Life & Style. “I swear to you, I didn’t believe it! Then I went to the doctor and he confirmed.”
Bourret and her partner, financier Ty Comfort, welcomed their first child, via surrogate, on Aug. 19, 2013. Less than one month later, their second son arrived. Although Bourret has revealed photos of the boys on her Instagram page, and announced their names as Jett and Jax, she said she isn't planning to reveal which child she welcomed via surrogate and which one she gave birth to. According to her, she shouldn't need to.
"It's not that it's too personal. It's irrelevant," she explained to the magazine. "They're both biologically mine, so who cares, really?!"
Bourret also revealed that her first child's surrogate was still very involved in his life -- and that she intends on keeping it that way as he grows.
