Beyonce's Father Paternity Suit: Mathew Knowles Accused Of Fathering Another Child
Beyonce's dad has been hit with another paternity suit.
According to a July 8 report, a woman named TaQoya Branscomb has come forward, claiming Mathew Knowles fathered her child in 2010, a short time after his divorce from Beyonce's mom, Tina Knowles.
"TaQoya, 30, has filed legal paperwork in Texas and is attempting to make Mathew, 63, submit a DNA test to determine paternity and is also requesting child support and compensation for her legal fees," In Touch Weekly reported on Tuesday.
In March 2010, Knowles was confirmed to be the father of a baby boy welcomed by Alexsandra Wright. In Oct. 2009, Wright filed a paternity suit against Knowles, claiming she and Beyonce's dad had an 18-month affair that resulted in her pregnancy. At the time, Knowles was temporarily ordered to pay Wright $8,200 in child support. Then, earlier this year, Wright revealed that after a judge reduced Knowles' child support from $12,000 to $2,400 per month, she and Knowles' son, Nixon, were headed to a homeless shelter.
Knowles and his wife, Tina, parted ways in 2010 (after nearly 30 years of marriage), shortly after his affair with Wright was made public. Not long after, Knowles and his daughter ended their relationship.
In 2013, Beyonce opened up about her estrangement from her father in her HBO documentary, Life Is But A Dream. “I needed a break, I needed my dad,” she said. “I had to let go.”
Prior to their falling out, Knowles had served as Beyonce's manager.
So far, Knowles has remained silent in regard to the new paternity suit.
