Jessica Simpson Diet: Newly Married Designer Followed Vegan Diet Ahead Of Wedding
Jessica Simpson adhered to a vegan diet before marrying Eric Johnson.
In the weeks leading up to her July 5 wedding, the singer turned designer changed her eating habits drastically in an effort to look her best in her custom-made Carolina Herrera gown.
"Jessica did a vegan diet for about two weeks leading up to the wedding," a source revealed to Us Weekly on July 7.
On July 5, after a fun-filled Fourth Of July celebration, Simpson and Johnson tied the knot at the San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito, Calif., in front of guests, including Joe and Tina Simpson, Ashlee Simpson and fiance Evan Ross, CaCee Cobb and husband Donald Faison, and Jessica Alba and Cash Warren. The couple's daughter Maxwell, 2, and son Ace, 13 months, were also in attendance, and had special roles in the ceremony.
In addition to her vegan diet, Simpson "got quite a few B12 shots" ahead of her big day. And for her skin, she "opted to get sugar dermabrasion on her face," the source told the magazine, adding that Simpson chose sugar over salt "so it would be less harsh."
In June, Simpson and Johnson celebrated their joint bachelor-bachelorette party with friends at the Eveleigh restaurant in West Hollywood, Calif.
"They were having a great time. Jessica looked absolutely amazing—and tiny," a source noted to Us Weekly of the couple's celebration. "Jessica looked very cute sitting next to Eric. He had his arm around her shoulders, and I saw them kiss," added a second source.
