Demi Lovato And Selena Gomez End Friendship: Lovato Unfollows Gomez After "B***h" Comment
Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez are friends no more.
Although Lovato recently spoke out about her "incredible friendship" with Gomez, things have since turned south and after reportedly making a comment on Twitter about the end of a dramatic relationship, Lovato has unfollowed Gomez.
According to a July 3 report by E! News, Lovato unfollowed Gomez on Thursday after making a shocking comment to fans, which reportedly read, "Swimming away from the bulls**t bye b***h." While the post has since been deleted, Lovato is said to have also posted a photo of herself swimming in the ocean, along with the comment.
Lovato and Gomez have been friends for years after initially meeting on the set of Barney And Friends when they were young kids. In the years since, Lovato and Gomez have continued their relationship, getting closer as adults.
In Jan. 2014, following one of Gomez's many splits from on-again, off-again boyfriend Justin Bieber, Lovato spoke out in support of her friend.
"We're really, really close," Lovato told Ryan Seacrest. "And, any advice I had for her, we talked last night and—you know—it's between us. But I love her so much. We have an incredible friendship. [Selena] is strong! She's doing really well right now!"
In February of this year, Lovato opened up about again her longtime friendships with Gomez, telling E! News, "Selena is, I've known her for 14 years and we've been best friends. She's amazing. I love her."
At this point, it is unknown what caused the rift between these two friends, but in the past, Gomez has been known to lose friends over her ongoing drama with Bieber -- one of which was country star Taylor Swift, who has been very open about her negative thoughts about Bieber.
