'Bachelor' 2014: Andi Dorfman Suitor Chris Soules Will Reportedly Be The New 'Bachelor'
Chris Soules may be the next Bachelor.
Although there has yet to be any official announcement made regarding the upcoming 19th season of The Bachelor, rumor has it that Soules will soon embark on a search to find his perfect match on the long-running ABC series.
“Chris the farmer is the new Bachelor,” an insider confirmed to Radar Online on June 26. “They held auditions in NYC last week, and told everyone he was the new Bachelor.”
Earlier this year, Soules was named as one of the 25 guys who would try to win the heart of season 10 Bachelorette, Andi Dorfman, and while Soules is still on the show, reports claim he is not the man Dorfman choses. According to a Reality Steve report, via Wetpaint Entertainment, Soules made it to the final three of the series, but was not given the final rose.
As The Bachelorette has played out, many fans have been hoping Marquel Martin would be named as The Bachelor. Even former Bachelor star Courtney Robertson spoke out in support of Martin possibly being named as the first African-American Bachelor.
In May, Reality Steve was the first to report that Soules was the front-runner for the next Bachelor.
“Sure the show will do their song and dance and ask their audience who they’d like, who are their favorites and they’ll talk about what a tough decision they have. It’ll all be just to drum up interest in the franchise," he said at the time. "It’s Chris’ gig to lose…that’s most likely your guy.”
