Lydia McLaughlin 'RHOC' 2014: Former Star Discusses Possible Bravo Return
Lydia McLaughlin recently spoke out about a possible return to The Real Housewives of Orange County.
Although McLaughlin left the Bravo series ahead of season nine after just one year with the show, she hasn't completely written off a potential return, which she opened up about in a new interview.
“There are aspects of the show that I miss,” McLaughlin told OK! Magazine in their June 25 issue, according to a June 18 report by Wetpaint Entertainment. “Who knows what the future holds? That door definitely hasn’t closed.”
McLaughlin was brought aboard The Real Housewives of Orange County for the show's eighth installment by her longtime friend, Alexis Bellino. However, after the season wrapped, McLaughlin chose to move on from the franchise and focus on her family and career aside from reality TV.
After revealing to Us Weekly that she would not return, McLaughlin spoke of her desire for a third child. Months later, she revealed that her wish had come true.
Currently expecting her third child, another boy, McLaughlin is loving life with her family, but remaining in touch with some other ex-housewives.
“I still see Gretchen [Rossi] and Alexis [Bellino]," she told OK! "We’ve remained friends. Alexis and I were actually workout buddies before this pregnancy, and we’ve continued to go to classes together.”
Along with McLaughlin, Rossi and Bellino exitted the show after the series' eighth season, but while McLaughlin's exit was voluntary, it was reported that Rossi and Alexis were fired. A short time later, they were replaced by Lizzie Rovsek, Danielle Gregorio and Shannon Beador.
