Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino Arrested: Reality Star Seen With Black Eye Following Release
Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino was arrested on Tuesday.
Following a reported brawl with his brother Frank at the Boca Tanning Salon in Middletown, N.J., Sorrentino was taken into custody and eventually released.
According to a June 17 report by TMZ, Sorrentino and his brother Frank got into a heated debate at their family's tanning salon, which resulted in a "fist fight" between the two. When officers arrived, Sorrentino was arrested.
Just one week ago, cops were called to the Boca Tanning Salon after the Sorrentinos reportedly failed to pay their employees for their time at work. At the time, TMZ had reported that four employees of the salon filed a police report claiming their paychecks, each for between $100 and $200, had bounced. After being told by police that criminal charges would be filed against them if their employees weren't paid, the Sorrentinos quickly paid up. The family later claimed the issue was an innocent mix up, which occurred because the store had changed payroll companies.
In a second report by TMZ, it was noted that Sorrentino had been booked at a New Jersey jail for simply assault. On his way home from jail, Sorrentino, who was sporting a black eye and hand bandage, briefly spoke with TMZ, informing them that the brawl between him and Frank had been over how to run their business.
On July 15, Sorrentino will be making his reality TV return in The Sorrentinos, a TVGN series which follows the family in their day-to-day life.
No word on whether or not the fight between Sorrentino and his brother was filmed for the show.
