'RHONY' Season Seven Cast: Aviva Drescher Fired As LuAnn De Lesseps Returns To Full-Time?
The Real Housewives of New York City may undergo a major cast shakeup ahead of season seven.
According to a new report, certain member of the cast may be giving Aviva Drescher the boot in favor of the recently downgraded LuAnn de Lesseps, who has been with the show since season one.
“Caroline Radziwill and Heather Thomson are on a mission to get Aviva Drescher fired,” the insider told OK! Magazine. “Aviva can be direct, and the women feel threatened by the fact that she isn’t afraid to come across as a b***h.”
Early on in season six, Radziwill and Drescher had a major falling out after Drescher claimed Radziwill had used a ghostwriter for her book, What Remains. Although Radziwill, who has had a career in journalism for years, denied the allegations immediately, Drescher insisted Radziwill hadn't written the book herself and claimed editor Bill Whitworth was behind the publication.
Drescher's claims became a major storyline during the show's sixth season and caused a major divide between the cast members, with Thomson and de Lesseps taking a strong stance against Drescher.
Now that de Lesseps is on their side, Radziwill and Thomson are reportedly trying to convince Andy Cohen to drop Drescher from the series and bring de Lesseps back as a full-time housewife, and because of Radziwill's longstanding friendship with Cohen, that may be a possibility.
However, according to a production source, execs aren't planning to make any major decisions until after the reunion.
“Bravo does test studies on each woman. Some of the greatest players can be fired, and some losers can be kept. No one knows the results until after the reunion films.”
