'Girl Meets World' Salary: Rowan Blanchard Makes 10,000 Per Episode?
Rowan Blanchard is reportedly making six-figures for her work on the Disney Channel's Girl Meets World.
According to a new report, Blanchard is making a whopping $10,000 per episode to star as the daughter of Cory and Topanga on the follow-up series to Boy Meets World.
"She's only 12, but kid actress Rowan Blanchard has plenty of grownup business savvy ... because her deal to star in Disney Channel's "Girl Meets World" is paying her $10K an episode!" TMZ reported on May 26. "We got hold of Rowan's contract—which guarantees her a 6-figure jackpot because the series has reportedly been picked up for 21 episodes ... meaning she'll pocket a cool $210,000—just for the first season."
After starring in a number of films, including The Back-up Plan, Little in Common and Spy Kids: All the Time in the World, Blanchard landed the role of Riley Matthews on the highly anticipated Girl Meets World. Following the Jan. 2013 announcement of the casting, Blanchard and several members of the mother show, Boy Meets World, including Ben Savage, who plays Cory Matthews, and Danielle Fishel, who plays Topanga Lawrence, began filming in Feb. 2013.
Although it hasn't yet been confirmed whether or not Cory's brother, Eric Matthews (Will Friedle), and best friend, Shawn Hunter (Rider Strong), will return to the series along with Savage and Fishel, they were photographed on set.
Blanchard will also reportedly make an additional $150,000 if the network decides to make a movie based on the television series.
Girl Meets World premieres on the Disney Channel on June 27, 2014.
