Tina Turner: Singer Reportedly Recovering From Stroke?
Tina Turner is reportedly recovering after suffering a stroke.
On May 26, several outlets reported that the singer, 74, had suffered a stroke. However, according to a source close to Turner, she is now doing much better.
"Tina had to cancel her holiday to recover, she has already managed a smile for her partner Erwin Bach,” Turner's driver, Albert, is quoted as saying, according to a Radar Online report.
Last February, Turner was the target of an online rumor, which claimed she had suffered a stroke. After the report circulated the web, Turner's longtime friend, Oprah Winfrey, took to Twitter where she set the record straight, telling fans, "Tina had a bad flu weeks ago. She’s recovered. And LIVING life!"
Also in February, Rhino Entertainment and Parlophone Records released a compilation album by Turner in which 18 of her greatest love songs were featured. The album was titled "Love Songs" and peaked at #22 on the Scottish album chart.
So far, Turner, nor a rep for Turner, has spoken out about the reported stroke.
