Candy Spelling spoke of her daughter's reality show in a new interview.

Talking to Mario Lopez for Extra TV, Candy revealed that while she has seen Tori's Lifetime series, True Tori, which chronicles her post-scandal struggles with husband Dean McDermott, it may not be something she will continue to watch.

“I watched a little bit of it,” she told Lopez. “It's really hard for a mother to watch, really. You don’t want to see your child go through any kind of pain. This is painful.”

On True Tori, Tori and Dean are struggling to cope with Dean's affair with 28-year-old Emily Goodhand, as well as his alleged depression and issues with alcohol and drugs. Following the news of the extramarital relationship, Dean entered treatment and ever since, has been working to get his marriage to Tori back on track.

In episodes of the show, fans have seen as Tori leans on her friends for support during her and Dean's hardships, but they haven't yet seen her mother, which is likely the result of their strained relationship. For the last several years, Tori and Candy have been estranged, and from what Candy revealed in her book about the relationship, they aren't getting any closer to a reunion.

"Tori and I are a work in progress and probably always will be," Candy wrote, via E! News. "I notice that the more my self-esteem expands, the less patience I have for the pursuit cycle she creates when she shuts me out. We have a pattern, and until we can break it hand-in-hand, this is going to be the little dance she and I do together."
