'Duck Dynasty' Wedding 2014: Willie And Korie Robertson Plan To Renew Their Vows
Willie Robertson and his wife Korie are reportedly planning to renew their vows.
After more than two decades of marriage, the couple are considering the possibility of having a second wedding to honor their relationship on their 25-year anniversary.
“I would definitely have a vow renewal,” Korie told Life & Style on May 23, adding that she believes renewing vows “can strengthen a marriage.”
Willie and Korie got married in 1990 and have four children together, John Luke, Sadie, Willie "Lil Will" and Bella. They also have a foster child from Taiwan.
In 2012, Willie, Korie and their family, including Willie's brothers, landed a reality show on A&E titled Duck Dynasty, which followed the Robertsons and their family-operated business, Duck Commander. The show has broken several ratings records for the network, as well as cable television. The series' fourth season premiere captured a whopping 11.8 million viewers, making it the most watched nonfiction cable series in history.
At this point, Korie and Willie haven't yet set a date for their second wedding, but Korie expressed interest in holding the ceremony “to mark 25 years together.”
As for their secret to a healthy marriage, Korie said she and Willie use the Bible as their guide.
“We’re not perfect,” Korie admitted to Life & Style. “But a lot of it is about respect and treating each other the way that the Bible defines love: as patience, kindness and self-control. We mess up, but we really try to treat each other with love.”
