Jenna Dewan-Tatum Diet: New Mom Enjoys Green Smoothies
Jenna Dewan-Tatum revealed one of her favorite diet tricks in a new interview.
After giving birth to her daughter, Everly, nearly one year ago, the wife of PEOPLE Magazine's 2012 Sexiest Man Alive quickly shed her baby weight, and now, she's revealing one of the ways she did it.
“One of my best diet tricks is having a green smoothie in the morning instead of a big breakfast,” the Witches of East End actress revealed to Life & Style on May 22.
Married since July 11, 2009, Dewan-Tatum and her husband welcomed their first child, Everly Elizabeth Maiselle, on May 31, 2013. Throughout the pregnancy, Dewan-Tatum, a vegan since age 13, maintained a strict workout regimen, and after giving birth, continued to work hard at her figure. She also paid close attention to her diet, making sure that she and her daughter were getting the proper vitamins and nutrients.
Each day, Dewan-Tatum makes herself a green smoothie, packed with romaine, celery, spinach and fruit, which gives her “tons of vitamins, minerals and fiber."
For Dewan-Tatum, a green smoothie is the perfect way to start her day. Unlike a carb-packed breakfast, Dewan-Tatum says the drink gives her the energy she needs to embark on her hectic daily schedule, which typically consists of several hours worth of filming on Witches of East End and tending to the needs of Everly, who she often brings with her to the set.
Plus, she adds, “When you eat things that are nutritious, you don’t have to work so hard to stay in shape."
