Deryck Whibley reportedly just got a serious wake-up call after several years of "hard boozing."

According to a new report, the Sum 41 frontman recently collapsed at his home and after being rushed to the hospital, was dealt with some shocking news.

"My liver and kidneys collapsed on me," Whibley revealed on his website, via Us Weekly. "Needless to say it scared me straight. I finally realized I can’t drink anymore. If I have one drink the docs say I will die."

After a day filled with drinking, midnight rolled around and Whibley, who was once married to Avril Lavigne, found himself drinking yet another alcoholic drink. Around the same time, the rocker was getting ready to watch a movie when, all the sudden, he began feeling ill. A short time later, his fiance found him unconscious and quickly called for help. After arriving to the hospital, Whibley was admitted to the intensive care unit where he wound up strapped to an I.V.

"The reason I got so sick is from all the hard boozing I’ve been doing over the years," he admitted. "It finally caught up to me. I was drinking hard every day."

On Twitter, Whibley's ex-wife, Lavigne, spoke of her support for her former beau, first re-tweeting a message which told him to "get well soon," and then revealing to fans that she had spoken to him after the hospitalization.

"I am so proud of him. He is family to me and always will be," she said.
