Amy Robach is getting back to her life following a devastating cancer diagnosis.

Twenty days after the Good Morning America host completed chemotherapy for breast cancer, Robach is reportedly opening up about getting her life back to what it once was.

"I want to run again," Robach explained to PEOPLE Magazine. "Starting this weekend, I'm picking it back up. I had tried here and there, but it was just awful. I had chemicals coming up when I tried to run and I'd have to stop. I can't wait to pound the pavement and run along the East River."

Robach was diagnosed with breast cancer in Oct. 2013 after admittedly putting off her mammogram exam for one year. One month later, she announced the news on GMA. The discovery came just after Robach received a mammogram live on the air during a special episode for breast cancer awareness month, which aired on ABC on Oct. 1, 2013. Following the diagnosis, Robach took time off from her gig with GMA to undergo a bilateral mastectomy.

Although Robach has been doing great since undergoing many tests and chemotherapy treatments, she isn't quite 100 percent, but says that she's getting "better and better" every day.

As for the terrifying ordeal of fighting breast cancer, Robach explained, "It can hit you at the most unexpected moments, but it's a reminder of what you've been through. I think they are badges of honor, because I'm a warrior. And anyone that goes through this, that's how you have to think of yourself, as a warrior."
