Teresa Giudice Skips NBC Upfront: Bravo Wanted 'RHONJ' Star To Attend, But She Declined
Teresa Giudice was missing from the excitement of the NBC Upfront on Thursday, and Bravo reportedly wasn't happy about it.
According to a new report, Giudice didn't want to attend the event because of her ongoing legal drama, which will soon play out on The Real Housewives of New Jersey season six.
“The network obviously wanted her there and wanted her to talk about her legal problems because they are in the show, but she just isn’t willing to do any press right now,” a source close to the situation told Radar Online. “Bravo is totally stuck with Teresa.”
Last year, Giudice and her husband, Joe, were accused of 42 counts of fraud, and in March, they both plead guilty, Giudice to four counts, and Joe to seven. In July, they are scheduled to attend a hearing where they will receive their jail sentances. Currently, Giudice is facing up to two years behind bars and Joe is facing four.
Because of her looming trial, Giudice is on her best behavior, being careful not to say too much about her and Joe's charges, or on their past dealings. Unfortunately for Bravo, that means she is refusing to do any press-related events.
“Teresa is terrified of making a wrong move between now and her sentencing,” the insider explained. “She’s praying that she gets only house arrest or even probation. So she’s staying out of the limelight and avoiding any situation where she will have to talk about the case.”
The Real Housewives of New Jersey season six premieres on July 13 at 8 p.m.
