Hayden Panettiere and Wladimir Klitschko Wedding Date: Actress And Boxer Postpone Marriage
Hayden Panettiere and Wladimir Klitschko have apparently postponed their wedding plans.
Engaged since 2013, the actress and boxer have been planning to tie the knot in front of friends and family but because of the current situation in the Ukraine, the pair has opted to hold off on a wedding, for now.
On May 5, Us Weekly reported Panettiere and Klitschko's wedding plans have been put on hold until their respective families, Panettiere's in the United States, and Klitschko's in the Ukraine, can celebrate together.
Panettiere and Klitschko began their relationship in 2009 after meeting at the party of a mutual acquaintance. Two years later, Panettiere announced that she and Klitschko had amicably split because of their busy schedules. At the time, Panettiere told PEOPLE Magazine that she and the boxer would remain "very good friends." Then, in April 2013, Panettiere confirmed she and Klitschko had gotten back together.
"It's like the 2.0 version," Panettiere told Glamour Magazine of their romance. "I've always had great relationships and stayed really good friends with the guys I've dated. It blows my mind sometimes that us getting together has gotten so much attention. It's like, Really? This is breaking news?"
In summer 2013, reports surfaced of a possible engagement between Panettiere and Klitschko, but the pair remained silent about their news until Oct. 2013, when Panettiere debuted her engagement ring during an appearance on Live! With Kelly And Michael. When host Kelly Ripa noticed the ring on Panettiere's finger, she asked if it stood for anything in particular. At first, Panettiere played coy, telling Ripa it "might" mean something, before finally confirming her engagement.
