Jessie James C-Section: 'Eric & Jessie' Star Opens Up About The Birth Of Her First Child
Jessie James is speaking out about the birth of her daughter, Vivianne Rose.
On last night's new episode of Eric & Jessie: Game On, fans watched as James found out (during a routine checkup) that her daughter was on the way, and now, James is opening up about her emergency c-section.
“He was like, ‘You are going to have this baby today. It’s time, she’s really huge and I don’t want you to go any longer,’ ” James, 26, told PEOPLE Magazine.
On Mon., March 17, James went into labor, but after 14 hours, her pregnancy was not progressing and doctors made the decision to take her into surgery for a c-section -- much to her dismay.
“I never dilated past six centimeters so I had to have an emergency c-section, which was devastating for me,” she recalled. “I was yelling and screaming at everyone. I wanted to have that special labor and moment of having a natural birth.”
On March 18, James and Decker welcomed daughter Vivianne Rose, who weighed in at 8 lbs., 2 oz. and measured 20 inches.
Following the birth, James opted to keep all photos of her daughter private, which led many to believe that she and Decker were holding out in hopes of scoring a paycheck from a magazine. Then, on April 11, James put the rumors to rest, debuting the first photo of her daughter on her Instagram page.
Also in her interview with PEOPLE, James gushed over her NFL pro husband's daddy skills.
“He’s ridiculously amazing,” James said of Decker. “He changes all the diapers willingly. [He] gets up with her most of the nights because I’m a hard sleeper — it’s not that I don’t want to wake up, but she cries and I don’t hear it sometimes. He just gets up and does it and doesn’t wake me.”
