Tori Spelling Hospitalized As Cheating Drama Plays Out On 'True Tori'
Reportedly, Tori Spelling was hospitalized recently for at least six days.
As her marital issues with husband Dean McDermott played out on Lifetime's True Tori, Spelling spent nearly a week in the hospital before being released this past Saturday.
In photos obtained by E! News, Spelling was seen making her exit from the hospital with her husband in tow and a pink hospital band on her arm.
On April 22, around the time when Spelling was reportedly hospitalized, her new Lifetime series, True Tori, premiered. On the debut episode, Spelling confirmed that McDermott had cheated on her and gave fans details about the weeks following the affair. Fans also saw McDermott in rehab, where he was receiving help for personal issues.
"He would arrive by 10am and didn't leave until 8 most nights. He seemed very stressed out and worried," an observer told E! of McDermott, who stayed by Spelling's side during her recent hospital visit. ''He would bring food and often only left Tori to go outside to catch some air or make a phone call.''
Following the True Tori premiere, Jezebel questioned the authenticity of the show, alleging that Spelling and McDermott may have faked the cheating scandal in an attempt at landing a reality show post-Tori & Dean. The site even pulled the timeline into question, noting that on the series, Spelling said McDermott entered rehab immediately following the news of the affair, but in reality, the pair spent Christmas and New Year's together as social media photos of the pair showed (Spelling and McDermott shared Christmas and New Year's photos with their kids on Twitter and on their blog).
However, a source later assured E! News that the couple's "drama and problems are definitely real."
The reason behind Spelling's recent hospitalization has not yet been revealed.
