Debra Messing Reveals 20-Pound Weight Loss After Focusing On "Clean Healthy Foods"
Debra Messing has reportedly lost 20 pounds after taking on a healthier lifestyle.
After growing up on "crappy foods," the Will & Grace actress decided to make a change, and her body is now looking and feeling better than ever.
"About two to three years ago, I made a very, very big change the way I approach nutrition," Messing explained to ABC News on April 23. "I lost like 20 pounds, it wasn't my intention, that wasn't why I made the change. I made the change because I was just tired all the time. For a long time, I just accepted that was the plight of a working, single mother. You're juggling everyday."
From Sept. 2000 to Feb. 2010, Messer was married to actor/screenwriter Daniel Zelman, whom she met in 1990 on her first day as a graduate student at New York University, and on April 7, 2004, Messing gave birth to their son, Roman Walker Zelman.
Since their separation, Messing has been raising Roman as a single parent, and doing her best to balance her life as a mom with her life as an actress.
"I'm just eating really, really clean healthy foods," Messing continued of her eating plan.
In the mornings, Messing starts her day off with a green smoothie made with kale, spinach, celery, ginger, lemon and cucumber, and often has another smoothie hours later for an added boost of energy.
"I know I'm starting my day and getting a big shot of nutrients that I need. I start out strong," she explained.
