Katherine Webb And Fiance AJ McCarron Heading To Reality TV? Her Sister Says "Yes"
Katherine Webb and AJ McCarron are reportedly in talks to star in their own reality show.
In an interview with The Auburn Plainsman, Webb's sister, Laurie Webb, announced the exciting news.
“They’ve already started filming during the proposal,” Laurie revealed. “From what I understood, it came from someone else. I don’t think they were trying to get into a reality show, I think they just had the opportunity and decided to take it.”
Katherine Webb first found fame during the 2013 BCS National Championship Game when announcer Brent Musburger referred to her as a "lovely lady" and "beautiful." After the broadcast, Webb's follower count on Twitter went from 2,000 to over 175,000. The following day, the phrase "AJ McCarron girlfriend" was one of Google's top trends, with over 1 million searches.
Then, on March 28, after dating since 2012, McCarron and Webb became engaged. That night, the former pageant queen announced her exciting news on Instagram, along with a photo of her stunning 5 carat diamond ring.
"AJ and Katherine are in talks for a reality series about their lives but not specifically about wedding planning and the actual wedding," a source explained to E! News, adding that the series would be similar to Eric and Jessie: Game On, which follows NFL star Eric Decker and his country singer wife, Jessie James.
The source added, "If the reality series comes to life then the wedding planning" or the couple's nuptials "may be included."
Hours after the report surfaced, McCarron took to Twitter where he seemingly denied that he was a part of the show, while hinting that Webb would be starring solo.
"I think it's funny how people think I am doing a tv show," he wrote to his 275,000 followers. "I play football that's it! What my future wife does is her business #worryaboutyou."
