'Shahs Of Sunset' Star Lilly Ghalichi's Fiance Dhar Mann Has History Of Drug Use And Fraud
Lilly Ghalichi's fiance Dhar Mann has a dark past, plagued with drugs and alleged fraud.
According to reports, Mann made his millions selling drugs and drug paraphernalia, and along the way, he was accused of fraud against the city of Oakland, Calif.
Radar Online reports that Mann, who presented Ghalichi with an engagement ring reportedly worth more than $2.5 million, is a self-made millionaire who owes the majority of his success to WeGrow Hydro (formerly IGrow Hydro), a company he founded to distribute marijuana growing products.
In 2010, Mann received a trademark infringement lawsuit from a company of the same name, WeGrow, which alleged that Mann was using the company store and website to “openly promote the growing and use of marijuana,” and that they were doing it under the name of a company that had existed years prior, despite their having sent Mann a cease and desist letter. Eventually, the case was dismissed, but Mann's legal issues have continued.
In 2011, WeGrow faced several small claims suits after allegedly failing to pay their bills. At the time, Mann insisted, “WeGrow does pay its bills. These are contractual disputes that happen with any business.”
Even after meeting Ghalichi in Feb. 2014, Mann's troubles continued.
On Feb. 7, 2014, Easy Bay Express reported that Mann had plead no contest to defrauding the city of Oakland’s redevelopment program, and was placed on a five-year probation and required to pay the city $44,399 by April 1.
