Basketball Wives' Tami Roman Hospitalized After Going Into Diabetic Shock
Tami Roman was hospitalized this week after going into a diabetic shock.
The Basketball Wives star is currently at home recovering after a medical emergency landed her in the hospital on Wednesday.
"Tami says she was rushed to the hospital after going into diabetic shock and fainting in her Houston house. Her daughter found her passed out and called 911," TMZ reported on March 27. "Tami says she was also suffering from dehydration."
Roman, who also starred on The Real World: Los Angeles in 1993, was kept overnight after being admitted on Wednesday, but released early on Thursday morning after doctors determined she was healthy enough to go home.
On Wednesday, following Roman's scary incident, her publicist released a statement.
"Tami is rehabilitating at a private hospital in Houston and is expected to make a full recovery," the statement read. "Tami is currently filming two TV shows, traveling back and forth between Houston & Los Angeles so her body became overwhelmed."
According to Wetpaint Entertainment, Roman has been working on several projects, in addition to her gig on Basketball Wives. Not only has Roman began filming her own spinoff series, Roman Empire, she's also landed a role in the Steven Spielberg's CBS show, Extant, and running her lip gloss and nail polish business, which is available at Walgreens stores.
