'Entourage' Movie Cast News: Kevin Connolly Breaks Leg On Set While Trying to Shoot Football Scene
Kevin Connolly suffered a devastating leg injury on the set of the new Entrouage movie last week.
While shooting a scene with Seattle Seahawks' quarterback Russell Wilson, Connolly's leg ended up underneath of the body of his co-star, which caused it to break.
According to TMZ sources, "Connolly tripped on a sprinkler while trying to make the play, which resulted in Jerry Ferrara falling on his leg."
Luckily for Connolly, the break was "pretty clean" and he and the rest of the cast and crew were able to continue on with production.
Following the incident, Wilson took to his Instagram page where he posted a photo of himself and the injured Connolly with the caption, "My man [Kevin Connolly] banged up after Running a perfect post route. When he gets healthy watch out Wes Welker! #ARealHeartGuy #WhiteLightning."
Director Doug Ellin also spoke out about Connolly's injury, telling his Twitter followers that during the play in which Connolly broke his leg, he actually managed to come down with the ball -- and hold on to it throughout the break.
Filming began on the Entourage film last month in Los Angeles and a release date has been scheduled for June 12, 2015.
