Andi Dorfman Will Star As 'The Bachelorette' During Season 10
It's official! Andi Dorfman is the new star of ABC's The Bachelorette.
Dorfman may not have found love with Juan Pablo Galavis on the 18th season of The Bachelor, but soon, she will be meeting 25 potential husbands when she takes the stage as the season 10 star of The Bachelorette.
On Mon., March 10, after weeks of rumors regarding the possibility, the Atlanta-based assistant district attorney was officially named as Bachelorette on the After The Final Rose special.
"I'm looking to find that great love. I have a great life. I just don't have anyone to spend it with," Dorfman said during the show. "I love my job but at the end of the day my job is not my priority. I'm ready to find my husband."
On The Bachelor, Dorfman made it to the top three, but after spending a night with Galavis in the fantasy suite, Dorfman opted to eliminate herself, calling their overnight stay "a nightmare." However, she didn't let her missed love connection with Galavis put a damper on her search for love -- or on the series.
"I felt real feelings ... I think it can happen anywhere - especially on a show like this," she explained. "I mean why not? Why not?"
After rumors began to circulate last month that Dorfman had been cast as the new Bachelorette, host Chris Harrison spoke of what she would be like, telling E! News, "[Andi]'s this strong district attorney who would be cross-examining every guy!"
The Bachelorette season 10 will premiere on ABC on Mon., May 19.
