Jenna Dewan Tatum On Motherhood, Balancing Her Work And Marriage
Jenna Dewan Tatum and Channing Tatum's daughter Everly is 9-months old and although becoming parents has been hectic for the working actors, they have loved every minute of it.
"It's been a great perspective change," Dewan told Us Weekly on Feb. 25. "The things that used to maybe worry [me]..[were] replaced by just caring and being there for this little baby."
Prior to giving birth in May 2013, Dewan's major stressors in life were work related, for the most part, but now, she claims they are "completely nonexistent."
At this point, Dewan Tatum has slowed things down a bit when it comes to her work schedule. And in an effort to spend as much time as possible with Everly, she is admittedly more selective when it comes to the projects she signs onto.
"You really get a lot pickier about the sort of projects and even the opportunities that come your way," Dewan Tatum explained.
Luckily, she has been extremely blessed with job offers in which she is able to take her daughter along with her to work, which makes things much easier on the 33-year-old star.
Currently, she and Everly spend time together each day on the set of The Witches of East End, a series on the Lifetime network.
As for her husband, Dewan Tatum says she and Channing are closer than ever.
"As a whole, [having a child] forces you to become a little closer, because you have to be on the same page with everything when it comes to making decisions," she said.
They are also in sync when it comes to their lives away from baby. While they love their time with Everly, having husband/wife time is important and date nights are regular. As Dewan Tatum added, "You've got to get out and be around adults and not speaking in a baby voice all day like - just for your own sanity!"
