WWE star Jake "The Snake" Roberts has cancer and will soon undergo emergency surgery.

According to TMZ, Roberts has a cancerous tumor behind his knee, which is slowly growing into his muscle, and in order to rid his body of the tumor, Roberts will need to have emergency surgery.

On Feb. 23, Roberts told TMZ that he had "noticed a tumor behind his knee the size of a half dollar last month so he had it tested ... and on Friday doctors told him the test came back positive for cancer."

Roberts will undergo surgery on Tuesday morning.

Then, after just a few weeks off to recover, Roberts will make his WWE return at the Jersey Championship Wrestling on Mar. 14 -- regardless of the outcome of the surgery.

"If the devil can't defeat me, cancer doesn't stand a chance in hell!" he said. "Pray for sick children who face this horrible disease 'cause The Snake will be just fine."

Roberts is also moving forward with his upcoming induction into the WWE Hall of Fame, saying that nothing will stop him from getting to New Orleans for the ceremony.

In addition to his recent cancer diagnosis, Roberts has also dealt with addiction, and in a documentary last year, revealed that he had begun drinking at the young age of 11. Throughout his career in the WWE, Roberts openly struggled with an addiction to drugs, as well as an addiction to alcohol.

Thankfully, Robert is currently in recovery from his addiction, which he credits to former wrestler Diamond Dallas Page, whom Roberts trained in the early stages of his career, and Page's DDP Yoga program, a hybrid workout that incorporates traditional yoga with dynamic resistance.
