Justin Timberlake cancels his New York concert due to 'health reasons'
Justin Timberlake postponed the first of his two concerts at Madison Square Garden. The singer made the announcement via his Twitter account on Wednesday, February 19, and cited health reasons. The concert was originally scheduled for Wednesday but has been rescheduled for Friday.
"Hey NY. There is never an easy way to do this... Unfortunately, I have to postpone tonight's show to Friday due to health reasons," Timberlake tweeted.
In his next tweet, he still apologized and invited his fans for the Friday show: "I am truly sorry to everyone that have tickets for tonight. It kills me to have to do this. I hope to see you all on Friday. --JT"
On the MSG website, it was stated that ticketholders could get a refund if they want.
According to Contact Music, his busy Friday schedule would mean that the 33-year-old would not be able to perform his "set routine" backstage that he does before his gigs. This routine includes two hours of meditation and a ban on "talking."
E! News speculated on what specific health reason forced the singer to postponed his show because he did not give any sign that he was not feeling well on his show in Chicago on Tuesday, February 18. Contact Music reported that there have been speculations that the delay of the show is because the couple Timberlake and Biel are thinking about having children in the near future.
