Nik Richie Updates Fans On The Health Of Wife Shayne Dahl Lamas
Just one week after Shayne Dahl Lamas collapsed and suffered a miscarriage, she has once again taken an unfortunate turn for the worse.
"Update: This morning we took a step backward and Shayne was rushed to S.I.C.U.," Richie revealed on Fri., Feb. 14. "Special thank you to Dr. Abravesh, Dr. Brown and Dr. Marquez."
Earlier in the day, Richie had shared a photo on Instagram of a card he had made for his wife for Valentine's Day. The card, which was written on a hospital cup, read, "Happy Valentine. I Love You Shayne. Will You Be My Valentine?"
Although Richie did not reveal what exactly happened to Lamas to cause her to be taken to the S.I.C.U., he appeared to have a positive outlook the following day, telling fans, "My Saturday night is like #TheNotebook. Sitting in ICU telling Shayne a story about a guy who married a girl after 8 hours in Las Vegas."
As fans may recall, Lamas and Richie tied the knot on April 18, 2010 at the Little White Wedding Chapel, just eight hours after they first met. About a year and a half later, on Nov. 11, 2011, the couple welcomed their first child, Press Dahl Lamas-Richie.
Prior to Lamas' entry into the S.I.C.U., Richie thanked fans for their support via Instagram.
"We would like to thank everyone from the bottom of hearts for the immense support we have received from our family, friends, fans and media. It is really amazing how everyone has come together for Shayne, Press and I during this extremely difficult time," he wrote. "Shayne is breathing on her now and doing better, we have high hopes for a speedy recovery. At this time we are still trying to process everything that happened and we thank everyone again for giving us this time in private to heal. Also, thank you for the #HappyBirthday wishes. Team Shnik will never die!
On Feb. 10, it was reported that Lamas had lost her second child to a freak pregnancy complication which caused her to collapse at her and Richie's Orange County home. Lamas was 16 weeks along at the time of the incident.
