Yolanda Foster On Her Battle With Lyme Disease, Selling Her Dream Home
Yolanda Foster has been struggling with Lyme disease since fans first met her on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and now, over a year after her Bravo debut, the reality star is more determined than ever to beat her illness.
On Wed., Feb. 12, Foster appeared on Good Morning America where she spoke about her hardships and hopes for her future. “It’s such a lonely disease, and it’s so silent,” Foster said of the disease. “I get emotional just thinking about it.”
On many occasions, Foster has thought to herself, “How am I ever going to get our of this?,” but these days, she’s trying her best to stay positive. “I’m determined, and I’m going to beat this thing,” she declared.
To make life a bit easier in the upcoming months, and years, Foster and her husband, David Foster, have decided to sell their Malibu “dream home." Because of the home’s size (11,622 square feet), there is a lot of maintenance and upkeep involved, and at this stage in the disease, it is simply not something Foster is up to.
“This is our dream home, but due to my battle with Lyme disease for the past two years I just don't have the strength to run this almost 5-acre property anymore and should really focus on my recovery with as little stress as possible," she told Us Weekly. "My daughter Gigi moved to New York last July and my Bella will move this July, so it will be just the two of us with my 14-year-old son, Anwar.”
