Brandi Glanville Talks Dating Ahead Of Her Second Book Release

Brandi Glanville hasn't had an easy time getting back into the dating game post-divorce. Despite her marriage ending nearly five years ago, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star has yet to find a love that sticks, but in a new interview, she's revealing that she is okay with that.

"I've met some great men, I've met a lot of not-so-great ones. I'm learning as I go," Glanville revealed to PEOPLE Magazine on Feb. 6. "I made rules for myself that I've broken. [After my divorce], I said, 'No actors and no professional athletes,' and of course I went right back to it. I'm always attracted to the hottest boy in the room and that never works out. In this town, being over 40 with two kids, that's a scary thing to say. It takes a really strong man to put up with me, my baggage and the show."

Although Glanville claims that she is over her ex-husband, Eddie Cibrian, she admits that the downfall of her marriage still haunts her today.

"It's hard for me to take the leap of trust. I'm a little bit tough because I can't afford to get my heart broken," Glanville explained. "When I do bring someone to meet [my sons], it's going to be for good."

At this point in her life, Glanville, whose ex-husband publicly cheated with country singer LeAnn Rimes and later married to, said she isn't opened to add members to her immediate family, but she would like to meet someone to "complete my little family." At the same time, she insists she would never settle to make it happen. She told PEOPLE, "I'd rather grow alone with my girlfriends than with someone I'm not in love with."

In the past, Glanville has hinted that she doesn't want to get married again, but as time goes on, she seems to be coming around to the possibility. "In my head, I don't feel like I need a piece of paper to tell me I need to be with someone," Glanville stated. "But I reserve the right to change my mind!"

Either way, Glanville says she's "happy" with the way her life is going now and doesn't feel the need to have a man by her side. But if she was to come across one, that would be great, too.

"I know exactly what I want now. That's the wisdom that comes from getting older and dating douche bags!" she added.

Brandi Glanville's new book, Drinking & Dating: P.S. Social Media Is Ruining Romance, hit stores on Tues., Feb. 11.
