Courteney Cox Speaks Out About David Arquette's Baby News, Wants Him To Be Happy
Courteney Cox and David Arquette parted ways in 2010 after 11 years of marriage, but fortunately for their nine-year-old daughter, Coco Arquette, they have remained friendly. So friendly, in fact, that Cox is thrilled about Arquette's baby news, as well as his relationship with Christina McLarty.
"When you love someone, you want them to be happy, even if it's not with you," Cox told More Magazine for their February issue. "You can love somebody so much, but it's not the life you should be living together. I think David and I are supposed to be the way we are now. In divorce you always have regrets. We were married for a long time, so it's not like we didn’t try."
Although their marriage ended in divorce, they got a beautiful little girl out of it, and while having her parents living apart may have been hard at first, the fact that they are on such good terms now is surely a plus.
"Obviously, kids always want their parents to be together, but as divorces go, this is the best one we could provide," Cox added.
Cox's former Friends costar Jennifer Aniston also spoke to the magazine, having only the kindest things to say about her longtime friend.
"There's absolutely no judgment in Court," Aniston told the magazine. "You'll never feel scolded. She's extremely fair, ridiculously loyal and fiercely loving. I've slept in her guest bedroom a lot. Without giving away too much of my private stuff, all I can say is she's been there for me through thick and thin."
In regard to his baby news, Arquette recently spoke to PEOPLE, claiming that this time around, he isn't quite as anxious to have a child.
"I've done it once so there's not that fear that a first-time parent has because you just don't know what to expect," Arquette, 42, told PEOPLE Magazine on Jan. 14. "Animals across the world have babies and they know how to take care of them instinctually. Us humans get so in our heads about it all but as soon as the baby comes it is just instinct."
