Is Dr. Ava Cadell Joining 'The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' For Season Five?
Production on season five of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is fast approaching, and as the start date nears, producers are scrambling to put together the perfect cast. Part of the cast, according to a new report, could be sex therapist Dr. Ava Cadell.
"[RHOBH production company Evolution] has actually been trying to get Ava to join the cast for two years now, but it hasn't been the right time for her previously," a source told Popdust on Jan. 23. "She would be great for the show, she's really outspoken, she doesn't shy away from being controversial or outrageous and she has a very aspirational lifestyle."
The source continued, "She's [at the] top of the producers' short list and if they can agree terms she will definitely join the cast next season."
According to Dr. Cadell's Twitter page, Ava is a "loveologist to Hollywood's elite, author of 7 books, global speaker & media personality."
Last week, Radar Online reported that Kim Richards, who has been with the show since its start, would be getting the axe because "she has little going on in her life."
"They could be looking for at least two new housewives for the next season," Radar's insider claimed. "In any event, producers will be looking for ladies with over the top lifestyles, who bring the drama."
"Kim is definitely on the outs and it's very likely Kyle will go with her, so there's going to be two spaces to fill," Popdust's source explained, also adding that the rumors about a possible exit by Brandi Glanville are completely false.
"Brandi is totally safe -- there's no way anyone is even going to consider letting her go," the source said. "She's pretty much the life blood of the show right now."
