Tamra Judge & Simon Barney's Court Battle Exposed (Exclusive)
Tamra Judge, formerly Tamra Barney, is currently in the midst of a messy court battle with her ex-husband, Simon Barney. While the two have been divorced for years now, they are once again at odds, this time over the presence of their children on Bravo's The Real Housewives of Orange County. Although there have been all sorts of reports in regard to the story, not everything is accurate, but luckily, an insider has come forward, revealing what is really going on in court between Tamra, Simon, and the judge.
"There is no court ordered BAN that says the kids can not film. There is nothing in the custody records saying they can't film," the source revealed exclusively to Celebeat. "The network wants both parents signature for minors to film and Simon will not sign it. That's why they are going to court."
And despite a few photos that surfaced online of Simon looking pleased as he came out of court last month (which were followed by claims that Tamra had experienced a "set back"), the source claimed there was nothing celebration-worthy when it came to Simon.
"There was NO set back or win for Simon at the first court appearance. The judge did just what Tamra's attorney expected," our source continued. "Sophia is the only one that wants to film. However the judge made it for all the kids so they never have to go to court again. All Simons evidence was thrown out of court. The children will talk to a court appointed therapist and then will report back to judge. If she says they are fine to film then she will tell the judge and he will make his ruling. As of now it's out of their hands."
"I think it's funny that Simon is the only one that has done something inappropriate while filming in front of the kids and he had no problem with them filming while he was on the show. Protective father or hypocrite?" the source asked.
Prior to their divorce, both Tamra and Simon appeared on The Real Housewives of Orange County. It was only after they had split that Simon was no longer okay with their filming.
"Simon freaked out and refused to accept the judges decision at the first court date," the insider told us. "He was so pissed the judge didn't want to see his evidence (clips from the show that had not one of our kids in ) that he demanded the judge to stop production from filming the kid until they talk to a therapist. The judge said NO! Then he walked out side and did a cheesy high five with his attorney for radar online to make himself look like a winner."
When we reached out to Tamra, she told us, "I want only what is best and will be fine with the therapist decision."
Our source adds, "Tamra only wants what is best for her kids and if the therapist says NO, she will respect her decision."
