Kandi Burruss' Mom Slams Bravo's 'Real Housewives Of Atlanta' Edits
Kandi Burruss and her mother, Joyce, are currently at odds on The Real Housewives of Atlanta. While Kandi is in love and wanting to marry her fiancé Todd Tucker, Joyce is being less than supportive, feeling that she could do better than "opportunist" Todd. Because of the conflict, Joyce has came off on the show as a villain, and now, she's fighting back.
According to Joyce, she's not nearly the monster she's being painted and is only coming off less-than-friendly because Bravo has edited her that way.
In a new interview, Joyce is opening up about one particular incident on the show in which she is seen criticizing her daughter's choice of wall photos. The scene, Joyce claims, was highly manipulated to make her seem like the bad guy.
"That upset me so bad," Joyce told Radar Online. "When they showed the scene of me walking into the house and seeing all the pictures of Todd on the wall I was not talking about his pictures!"
"I know Kandi had a decorator, her friend Carmon -- and she put up all those pictures of Todd when he was a little boy," Joyce continued. "I said, 'Now that's a damn shame,' and what I really said was that shouldn't be all him up there (on the wall). That shouldn't be his wall. I said there were no pictures of Riley or me. I didn't just say there should be a picture of me. I said the pictures of Riley should be much higher and the pictures of Kanid's daughter should be up there, not just pictures of Todd. But they didn't show that. They only showed me saying it shouldn't be just him. I don't know why they did that. I allowed it to be like that, I guess. I guess since they don't pay me, they can do whatever they want."
Now that she's seen what Bravo has done with the footage shot, Joyce isn't happy and when it comes to returning to the show next season, she's currently unsure.
"I would never have agreed to it," she said. "I am very upset about what they did and I don't know if I'll be back on the show."
